iOS 18 Release Date

As reported by Bloomberg and the information, Apple has signed a deal with Open AI to power some of the recent AI features in IOS 18. Partnership with Open AI will be expected to power Apple’s custom CHAT GPT-like Chatbot. More details are still expected on how this will work. Apple is also expected to come up with its own language model for a chatbot internally. 


RCS Support

iOS 18 is expected to be accompanied by RCS support during its release. Rich Communication Services is expected to succeed MMS and SMS. RCS support will come up with a variety of iMessage-style features for texts between iOS and Android users. It will be expected to unlock some features like reading recipients, typing indicators, and enhancing sending high-quality images and videos for both iPhone and Android. Compared to SMS, RCS will be able to work over mobile data or WiFi. Apple announced that RCS will be available on the iPhone later next year through a software update. This would suggest that the RCS Support feature could be included as a part of IOS 18. 


New Passwords app

IOS 18 is expected to be the first device to be accompanied by a dedicated password app together with macOS 15, and iPad OS 18. This app will make it easy for their users to log into software and websites, enabling Apple to display passwords via the settings app instead of a dedicated app. This new password app will be expected to avail itself across all Apple platforms, including iPhone, iPad, Mac, and Vision Pro. Apple Maps Upgrade
